Remove the skin from some of the roasted apple wedges, add some juices from the roasting pan and mix with a hand-held mixer until blended for a nicely aromatic sauce. Adding half a lemon in the cavity makes roast chicken tender and juicier.

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

  • 1 Clean, rinse and pat-dry the chicken. Sprinkle with Vegeta No MSG Chicken and rub both the outside and the inside of the bird with the seasoning mix. Place the chicken into a roasting pan. Mix together oil and honey with a pinch of ground black pepper and brush all over the chicken skin.
  • 2 Cut apples into wedges and remove the seeds. Pour lemon juice on the sliced apples, leave briefly to soak, then add to the roasting pan.
  • 3 Roast in a moderate oven preheated to 350 degrees/180 °C/gas mark 4 for about 90 minutes. Keep an eye on the bird and baste occasionally with roasting juices or a little water.


Serve with baked apples and a vegetable of your choice.
