You can also serve the prepared Mediterranean sauce with boiled rice.


2 spoons of olive oil
100 g onion
3 gloves of garlic
1 Podravka chopped tomatoes (390 g)
200 ml Podravka tomato puree
1 spoon of capers
80 g green pitted olives
1 teaspoon of Vegeta Mediterranean
1 EVA sardines in vegetable oil (115 g)
1 spoon of chopped parsley
400 g Podravka Penne

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

Simple 4 Persons 25 min

  • 1 Sauté the chopped onion to soften in hot olive oil.
  • 2 Add crushed garlic, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, Vegeta Mediterranean, strained and rinsed capers, and sliced olives.
  • 3 Sauté the sauce for 10 minutes, then stir in sardines cut into pieces.
  • 4 If necessary, add salt, pepper and sprinkle with parsley.


Serve poured over cooked pasta and sprinkle with chopped basil.
